Sutton Skyride with Boris Johnson set for September
12:02pm Thursday 2nd September 2010

The Sutton leg of the Mayor of London's Skyride event will take place on Sunday September 5.
Members of the council’s Smarter Travel Sutton team will be supporting two cycle rides organised by Transport for London, one from Manor Park to Buckingham Gate, leaving at 8.30am and the other from Westcroft Leisure Centre, Carshalton to Buckingham Gate, leaving at 9.00am.
The guided rides will be led by trained marshals and are suitable for cyclists of all levels.
Councillor Ruth Dombey, deputy leader on Sutton Council, said: “This will be a great event involving thousands of cyclists from across London. It will give people a chance to explore London by bike, get some exercise and have a fun day out.
“Cycling is really growing in Sutton thanks to initiatives such as Smarter Travel Sutton.”
